Konrad de la Fuente, the jewel of the USA that plays in Barcelona

At just 17, the player is preparing to play in the U-20 World Cup with the US team, but before the international tournament, he's being polished at La Masía.

The United States is getting ready for the U-20 World Cup in Poland, and they already have a jewel that could make a difference for them. His name is Konrad de la Fuente, and he plays with FC Barcelona.

Konrad was born in Miami, Florida on July 16, 2001, is usually seen on the right wing but can also play from the left and as a striker.

Konrad's arrival at FC Barcelona

At just 10 years old, De la Fuente and his family moved to Barcelona, where he started playing at the Tecnofutbol Academy, and after a year he landed in Damm, where he has been playing in the junior category.

After two outstanding years, he drew the attention of FC Barcelona, where he came to the children's B category, and since then Konrad has gone through all the lower divisions, he has even made his debut with the Catalan's B team.

In December he played 12 minutes with Barcelona's second team in 2B against Valencia Mestalla and this season debuted with the U-19s in the UEFA Youth League, where he has played seven games, scoring once, and providing one assist.

Konrad de la Fuente is preparing for the U-20 World Cup with his country. With the United States, he has played in three categories, U16, U18 and now at just 17 years old he has already played with the U20s.

While the World Cup arrives, Konrad keeps training at La Masía in Barcelona, where he's seen as one of the future promising stars.
