Valverde: Vela is a great player that already knows the league
Ernesto Valverde Barcelona's manager talked in a press conference about the Mexican striker and his possibility of arriving at the Spanish club in this transfer window.
In recent days it's been said that Carlos Vela will arrive at FC Barcelona, something that was handled almost as a fact. His vacations in San Sebastian only served so that people saw his signing for the culé team very close.
However, it seems that the arrival of the Mexican striker to the Spanish club is far from happening, as Barcelona is not very convinced of the physical state in which Vela is since at this time he has not had activity because the new season of the MLS starts until March.
In addition, the fact that Carlitos decided to emigrate to the United States league, reduced his chances of signing for the Catalans, as the Blaugrana's need a player who has the level that is needed for competitions like the Champions League.
Today in a press conference, Ernesto Valverde, Barcelona coach spoke about the former Real Sociedad player in which he said:
"Vela is a great player who has already shown it in this league, but we do not usually talk about players who play in other teams"
Valverde also confirmed that the club is looking for a striker, something he said is not so easy, but they are not thinking about it all day so if they do well, they will not continue working with the players they already have.
