Carlos Vela sends a message to his Los Angeles FC teammates
The Mexican striker that was chosen as the best player of week 2 of the MLS 2019 season, had a very important message for his LAFC teammates.
The Mexican striker of Los Angeles FC, Carlos Vela was chosen as the best player of the second week of the 2019 MLS season, where he scored and gave two assists in the victory 4-1 over Portland Timbers.
However, the captain of LAFC sent an important message to his teammates during the team press conference since March 1st Vela is 30 years old.
"I'm already 30, so they have to start taking care of me a little bit, and run for me in case I can't reach the ball."
Carlos Vela also said that he was not worried about scoring, since there are many days to do it, nor he wants to score hundreds of goals because what really matters is for the team to win.
"I have shown my game is not selfish, I always try to find the best plays for the team either by giving an assist or uncheck for my teammates, as long as we win that's what matters."
What Carlos Vela did during the second victory in a row of Los Angeles FC got him the best player of the week award. LAFC will seek their third victory against New York City FC on Sunday.
