Chad Ochocinco signs with Boca Raton FC a semi-pro soccer team

The former NFL wide receiver will start his journey as a soccer player with a semi-professional team from Florida where he will debut on March 16.

Chad Johnson signed a contract with Boca Raton FC a semi-professional soccer team after a successful tryout where he played for games as a starter getting a goal and two assists.

Boca Raton FC founded in 2015 is part of the United Premier Soccer League, the National Premier Soccer League, Florida Gold Coast League, and Beaches Adult Soccer League.

Former Bengals wide receiver will make his official debut on March 16 at the United Premier Soccer League against Port Saint Lucie United.

Chad Johnson said, "I’m really excited to join the team and contribute in any way possible, for me, this is more than just an opportunity but a dream come true that I was never able to fulfill during my childhood.”

Johnson played for the Cincinnati Bengals for 10 season setting several records with the team like receptions with 751, receiving yards with 10,783 and touchdowns with 66.

Chad will wear his iconic number 85, and after he tried out with Sporting KC of the MLS during the NFL's lockout in 2011, he now will be able to play soccer.
