The Argentine strategist of LA Galaxy, Guillermo Barros Schelotto, talked about the fight between Mexico and the United States for the 16-year-old Mexican-America, Efraín Álvarez.

Barros Schelotto sent a message to the young star saying that "he's young and has shown us something, but he has to prove a lot more, not just this and that's it.

The LA Galaxy coached also mentioned that it's their challenge to keep Álvarez improving, to make him give more in every game, adding that it's very likely that the LA squad alternate the youngster with the second team of the USL.

"He's 16 years old and has a long way to go. He needs to try to something different in each game to show what he can constantly do. Besides proving he is mature enough to handle these moments." declared the Argentine.

The debate between Mexico and the United States

The latest controversy between the two Soccer Federations is to see who gets Efraín Álvarez, the 16-year-old midfielder of Los Angeles Galaxy.

According to this issue, Barros Schelotto said that it's up to Álvarez to decide where is he going to go, and whatever he decides they will support him, although he mentioned that they have not talked about this subject as there is no time to waste in things not related to Galaxy. Because "Álvarez still has a lot to train and a long way to go." concluded Guillermo Barros Schelotto.
