El mundo NBA contuvo el aliento cuando Kawhi Leonard quedó retorciéndose de dolor en el suelo tras caer después de un tiro sobre el pie de Zaza Pachulia y agravarse en esa acción la lesión de tobillo que le había impedido jugar la prórroga del quinto partido y todo el sexto ante los Rockets. En cuanto la televisión empezó a repetir la acción con Kawhi saliendo del partido sin poder ni siquiera apoyar el pie, las redes sociales empezaron a echar humo con un objetivo claro: Pachulia. El pívot georgiano se convirtió en el blanco de las iras de aficionados (especialemente en San Antonio) y también periodistas.
