Willy, 14 en el último cuarto, y Porzingis (21) matan a los Nets

Los seguidores de los Knicks disfrutaron con la mejor versión de Willy Hernangómez. El español hizo un cuarto cuarto impresionante.

Primer gran partido de Willy Hernangómez en la NBA. El español se puso las botas en el cuarto cuarto (14 puntos) y reventó el partido junto a su amigo Kristaps Porzingis (21). Entre los dos exSevilla anotaron 25 de los 38 puntos de los New York Knicks en el último cuarto para asegurar su tercera victoria de la temporada (3-4).

Tras una primera parte dominada por los Nets, Carmelo Anthony (22) se puso el mono de trabajo e igualó el partido con 14 puntos consecutivos y un solo fallo en el tercer cuarto. El alero, que se metió en su "zona", dejó al equipo uno arriba antes de sentarse al final del tercer cuarto y sin saber que no le haría falta volver a entrar: el resto del trabajo se lo repartieron Willy, Porzingis y un Brandon Jennings que repartió hasta 11 asistencias (seis en el último cuarto).

Después de entrenar con el filial de los Knicks esta misma semana, Willy disputó su cuarto partido de la temporada con el conjunto neoyorquino (nunca había superado los cuatro puntos) y esta vez aprovechó al máximo su oportunidad. Se mantuvo en pista todo el último cuarto por su buen juego y además de los 14 puntos (6/7 en los tiros) aportó seis rebotes y dos tapones. Un gran día para el pívot español.
