Carlos Vela and the LAFC won against the San José Earthquakes, and after the game, the Mexican striker was questioned about the Mexican National Team and his presence.

Vela doesn't know if he will get a call from the national team, but the striker assures that there is such a good level in 'Tata' Martino's squad that his attendance is not necessary, and when asked about what his answer will be in case of a call-up, the LAFC player said.

"I have to talk to 'Tata' Martino, you never know."

Vela added that when he met the Argentino strategist they talked about many things, and though he didn't deny his support to the coach and the Mexican National team, he is sure that he's not vital for 'El Tri.'

"We talk about soccer, life, my family, his family. I'm always willing to help him and support my country, they've seen it. They have a good team, and there are great players in Mexico, they don't need a specific player, it's not like they need me because there are maybe even better ones than me; it's always good that many players have opportunities and they do well."

Carlos Vela scored a hat-trick against San José and said that he aims to be the best player in the MLS.

"I always work to be the best player, though when I was in Spain there was Messi, Cristiano and it's impossible to be the best. Here I feel that I am at a good level, I have good feelings, I think I can be one of the best in the league," he added.

With the hat-trick, the Mexican striker takes the lead in the MLS scoring chart with six goals.
