Héctor Herrera asked not to be invited with the Mexican team

The Mexican player asked not to be called up by Mexico National Team for the upcoming FIFA date as he will be getting his Portuguese passport.

After Porto got into the quarterfinals of the Champions League, Mexican International, Héctor Herrera gave himself time to talk about the Mexican National team.

Herrera revealed that he requested Argentine strategist and 'El Tri' coach, Gerardo Martino to not called him up for the FIFA Date that's coming up on March 20th.

The Mexican midfielder said in an interview with TDN: "I asked not to be invited to the National Team during this FIFA date as I will receive my Portuguese passport around those days."

Gerardo Martino will announce on March 14th the 25 players he will call up for the games against Chile and Paraguay to be played, on March 22nd and 26th.

The start of training camp will be on Sunday, March 17th and that same day, the Mexican National team will travel to San Diego for the first match where Mexico will face the Chileans to later move to Santa Clara to take on the Paraguayans.
