Joe Corona on LA Galaxy: "I'm in the Club America of the MLS"
The new signing of LA Galaxy spoke about what it means to reach one of the teams with the most MLS championships and compared it to the Liga MX squad.
Joe Corona, presented on Wednesday as the new player of LA Galaxy said he's ready to debut this weekend against FC Dallas, and took the opportunity to talk about his new club which he compared with Club America.
"I'm in the most winning team of the MLS a team I consider as the Club America of the United States. I'm happy because it will be good for me; it's a nice challenge to be with players of such experience and quality, that motivates me to come and give everything."
Corona also talked about the growth of the American league saying that it is on the right track and is just a matter of time: "Every year it looks better with more quality players and more youngsters playing football."
Finally, Corona said he feels ready to debut this weekend, as he comes from a tournament in Mexico, but it all depends on the coach, although he feels fit.
LA Galaxy and Club America
Both are the most winning of their respective leagues; LA Galaxy has five MLS titles while Club America has 13 championships in the Mexican league.
America has more than 33 official titles in 102 years of history, while Galaxy has 12 trophies in just 24 years of life.
