Week 1 of the 2019 MLS season presented great moments for the Mexicans that play in the United States, in which most of them won their Opening Day match in a week that left great moments for the American League.

LA Galaxy

Jonathan dos Santos, Uriel Antuna, and Efraín Álvarez started the season in the right way as the LA Galaxy won 2-1 to Chicago Fire, a game in which Jona and Antuna were part of the starting lineup.

Efraín Álvarez with only 16 years old made his professional debut when he took the field in exchange for Emil Cuello, showcasing his talent when dribble and sent a three-finger center for Daniel Steres to throw the ball to the back of the net for the 1-1.

Los Angeles FC

Carlos Vela had a discreet but effective involvement in the 2-1 victory of his team against Sporting Kansas City. The Mexican played for the whole game and generated good chances but was slowed down by constant faults.

Philadelphia Union

The newcomer Marco Fabián debut in the 2019 season with a goal, however, it was not enough as his team lost 1-3 to Toronto FC.

'Marquito' scored a penalty at the 73rd minute when Philly was losing 0-2, a goal that served to shorten distance momentarily.
