The new MLS season is almost here, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic knows it, he knows how the story goes, but most importantly the LA Galaxy star knows how it ends.

The LA team presented the second kit their players will be wearing for the 2019 season and during the event Rob Stone asked the Swedish star how the famous TV show 'Game of Thornes' ends. His response was simple: "With me on the throne."

Zlatan is getting ready for the new season as he showed on his Twitter account with a picture that said '2019 I'm coming' in a potential reference to the series' famous line about winter. And he is very clear on his goals for this year - to break every record the MLS has.

"This season I will bring something to you. I will break every record in the MLS this season."

The first record for Ibra

Zlatan will look to become the player with the most goals in one season, a record that currently belongs to Atlanta United's Venezuelan striker, Josef Martínez, who scored 31 goals in 2018. Ibrahimovic will, therefore, have at hand the rather difficult task of scoring at least 32 goals this season to take the crown.

How did Zlatan's first campaign go?

The Swedish striker had a great debut season, playing 27 games (24 as a starter). He scored 22 goals and provided ten assists, making him a key part of the LA Galaxy attack, but unfortunately wasn't able to take the team all the way into playoffs.

He was, however, seen as the best signing of the year thanks to the important role he played for Galaxy, beating Carlos Vela in this category.
