It was 1998 when Dimitar Berbatov began his football career with CSKA Sofia of Bulgaria. Starting with the U-19 squad to later join the first team. Where until 2000 he managed to reach 26 goals and eight assists in 46 matches played.
He found his next challenge in Germany at the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen, a team that gave a lot of confidence to the Bulgarian striker. From 2001 to 2006 he scored 69 goals and 32 assists in 154 games. He had a total of 10,970 minutes played to reach an average of a goal every 159 minutes.
Premier League stage
Dimitar Berbatov arrived in England in 2006, a place where perhaps he never thought to stay for eight years. At first, he landed with Tottenham Hotspur, then he went to Manchester United to end up with Fulham FC. After eight campaigns at the Premier League, Berbatov managed to celebrate 94 times after scoring, gave 42 assists and played a total of 229 games in the English League.
His most important stage was with the Red Devils, with whom he won two Premier Leagues, three Community Shield Cups, One League Cup, and one Club World Cup.
Life after England
After leaving the Premier League, Berbatov played with AS Monaco, PAOK Thessaloniki of Greece and Kerala Blasters of the Indian League. In this last time, he didn't spend it very well as he just played nine games and scored one goal. He left the club in April 2018.
