Carlos Vela will not be going to Barcelona despite the fact that his name was linked to the club in the last few days. The Mexican only thinks on having a great season with his team Los Angeles FC and be in the fight for the MLS Cup title.

“I’m excited to be back in L.A., back in training, and I hope this year can be a good year for LAFC" the former Real Sociedad player said Monday, words that were highlighted by the team through his Instagram account.

Barcelona made official the arrival of Kevin-Prince Boateng and with it, came the end of the novel that revolved around Carlos Vela and the Blaugranas.

For now, Vela only thinks about being able to overcome what was done last year in the MLS, where he got 14 goals and 11 assists in 29 games with LAFC (28 in the regular season and one more Playoff).

Carlos Vela played a total of 2,468 minutes between regular season and playoffs. He consolidated as one of the greatest players on and off the pitch, as well as one of the most mediatic, to the point of getting into the Top 5 of MLS players with the largest sale of shirts in 2018, the year he arrived at LAFC.
