¿Dardo a Kawhi? Popovich alaba a LaMarcus Aldridge por estar siempre con sus compañeros

Los Spurs perdieron el segundo partido de la serie, pero Popovich dejó claro en la rueda de prensa lo orgulloso que está, especialmente de Aldridge.

LaMarcus Aldridge ha hecho una temporada tremenda. Seguramente al nivel de sus mejores año como jugador franquicia de Portland Trail Blazers. El ala-pívot volvió a liderar ayer a un equipo que, con la baja de Kawhi, ha necesitado que tirara del carro durante toda la temporada. Y lo hizo al nivel de los mejores: 34 puntos y 12 rebotes.

Tras el encuentro, Popovich habló del papel de Aldridge. Y de lo orgulloso que está de él. Unas declaraciones que tuvieron gran impacto en las redes sociales por el posible dardo a un Kawhi Leonard que sigue en Nueva York, alejado de su equipo.

"LaMarcus ha sido un monstruo todo el año. Ha liderado a nuestro equipo en los dos lados de la cancha. No se queja de nada ahí fuera. Juega pase lo que pase. No me puedo imaginar estar más orgulloso de un jugador en lo que se refiere a hacer frente a la adversidad y a estar ahí para sus compañeros noche tras noche", señaló Popovich.
