Celia Barquín: Iowa State pays tribute to Spanish golfer
Iowa State paid tribute to 22-year-old Spanish golfer Celia Barquín Arozamena on Saturday ahead of the university's American football game against the Akron Zips.

The traditional pre-match marching band formed the golfer's initials on the field before the game and the team wore badges on their helmets with the Spanish flag and CBA printed on them in memory of the European amateur champion, who was studying at the university and considered one of the brightest prospects in the sport.

Barquín was found dead on the Coldwater golf course near the univeristy last Monday, with local police in Ames subsequently detaining a 22-year-old man on suspicion of first-degree murder.
