Chape's first Libertadores goal at home sends stadium wild

Chapecoense made their home debut in the Copa Libertadores on Thursday in a 1-3 loss against Lanús but the mere sight of the side competing in the continent's elite club competition is a miracle after many of the squad and staff of the Brazilian side lost their lives in an air disaster last year.

Chape are now mostly made up of loan deals from other Brazilian clubs and are cometing in the competition after Atlético Nacional, there opponents in last year's final, ceded their place in the wake of the tragedy.

Goals like Rossi's in the Arena Condá are being celebrated for everything they represent.
