Cheeky! Ajax player calls for halt then rounds his marker
Joël Veltman raised a few eyebrows in Ajax's match against Sparta Rotterdam when a teammate went down injured and he asked an opponent to hold off.
It perhaps wasn't the most sporting gesture but it certainly worked...
Ajax centre half Joël Veltman was on the wing when a teammate went down apparently injured and asked his opposite number to hold up, then promply went past him and pinged in a cross.
Ajax went on to win the game against Sparta Rotterdam 2-0.
