The first half of the game presented itself very complicated for both teams, as the United States and Costa Rica both fight for the control of the ball. During the second half both coaches made strategic changes where Sebastian Lletget took the field and was in charge of scoring the first goal for the American side. Gregg Berhalter sums his second win as the USMNT manager, starting his time in front of the United States nice and smoothly.
The United States will face Chile and Ecuador during the March FIFA window, where he will be able to call the European based players.
