Cristiano Ronaldo tells AS: “We’re going to beat Spain”

Russia were just scoring their third goal against Saudi Arabia when the Portuguese bus arrived at the Hotel Radisson Blu Paradise in Sochi. The last to get off, as usual, was Cristiano Ronaldo. He headed down the steps of the bus and headed straight to our man in Russia, Manu Sanz. And in addition to a big hug for the journalist he had a message for our correspondent. “Tomorrow we’re going to beat Spain”, said Cristiano, before heading off into the hotel with a big grin and a wink.

Spain, who just lost their coach Julen Lopetegui, play Portugal tomorrow evening at 20:00 CEST. We'll have live coverage of the game here on AS English.
