River stage Monumental 8-0 comeback in Copa Libertadores

No team in Copa Libertadores history had ever overcome a 3-0 deficit to progress to the next round but River Plate smashed that statistic by beating Bolivian side Jorge Wilstermann 8-0 in El Monumental to reach the semi-finals.
Ignacio Scocco scored five overall, includng a hat-trick in the opening 20 minutes, while Enzo Pérez added a brace and Ignacio Fernandez scored one.
River will now go on to meet local rivals Lanús, who beat San Lorenzo on penalties in Thursday's other quarter-final.
