Ousmane Dembélé exploded onto the European football consciousness during a brief spell in the Rennes first team during the 2015-16 season.

Borussia Dortmund saw enough to sign the teenage sensation for 15 million euros and Dembélé spent just one campaign in the Bundesliga before Barcelona stumped up the second-highest fee in football history to bring the France international to Camp Nou.

During that one season in Ligue 1, Dembélé displayed the skills and confidence that have now made him Barça's record signing.
