Ramos on Mbappé price tag: "Clubs pay what they're able and willing to pay"

Real Madrid's captain spoke ahead of the meeting with Barcelona in Miami: "We're building back physical tone; shortly we'll be back at full strength".

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos spoke ahead of today's meeting with Barcelona in Miami and was also asked about what he thought of the hefty asking price Monaco have put on Madrid target Kylian Mbappé: "Clubs pay what they're willing to pay and what they're able to pay..."

As for the pre-season, Ramos said that while results haven't been going Madrid's way, there are plenty of positive things to focus on.  “Obviously, we don’t even like losing friendly games – despite the fact that the team worked well the other day against City, the result wasn’t very good. It is only a friendly and you have to give it the importance it deserves as these games are more about building back rhythm during the pre-season. We have to put it behind us and focus on the good things – the team is training well and we are gradually getting back into good physical shape, which is what this is all about. We’ve been preparing for tomorrow’s game and we hope to put in a good performance, and if we can get a good result too, then even better”.
