Mateo Kovacic has been gaining protagonism at Real Madrid this season and has energed as a trusted reinforcement for his compatriot Luka Modric.
Both players started out at Dinamo Zagreb and eventually found their way to the Bernabéu, Kovacic joining from Inter Milan in the summer of 2015 in a 30-million-euro deal.
