Santiago Bueno, Barcelona's bet for the future of the back four

The Camp Nou has added the 18-year-old Uruguay under-20 international to their ranks after signing him from Peñarol.

Barcelona complete the signing of 18-year-old Santiago Bueno from Peñarol on the final day of the market, snapping up the promising youngster for a fee of one million euros rising to five million on a contract until June 2019 with the option of adding another three years.

Bueno has been capped 16 times at under-20 level for Uruguay and is a quick, versatile defender who is strong in the air and reads the game well.

He can play in central defence and as a defensive midfielder or central midfielder.
