Luka Modric and Fernando Alonso exchange Xmas presents

Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric and Spanish F1 driver Fernando Alonso entered into the festive spirit by sending each other a special gift this Christmas. The Croatian carefully signed one of his Madrid shirts with a message:

To my friend Fernando,

A big hug and lots of luck.

And the player also recorded a message with Real Madrid TV to pass on to Alonso, saying: "

“Hello Fernando. I know that you are a big fan of Real Madrid, and that’s why I am sending you this present. I hope you like it. I wish you all the luck in the world in the future".

The Asturian returned the favour, by sending Modric a pair of his F1 gloves: "Luka, thanks very much for the present – your shirt. I’m a big Madrid fan and I follow the team wherever they are in the world. Anyway, I have a present here for you – my F1 gloves. I wish you the best of luck next year and I hope you win many trophies. Hala Madrid and see you soon!”.
