Gareth Bale plugging away with his recovery in Valdebebas
The Real Madrid forward continues to toil hard with his recovery programme just several weeks after undergoing an ankle operation.
Hard at work
It's been just over four weeks since Gareth Bale underwent surgery to repair the dislocated peroneal tendons in his right ankle and the player has been putting himself through a punishing daily training regime so that he can return to first team duties ahead of time. Bale published a video of himself working out inside the gym just before Christmas and today he was spotted arriving at the club's training facilities in Valdebebas in Real Madrid's first day back at work after the holidays.
Great to be back
Bale posted a picture of himself working up a sweat on an exercise bike, turning to give the camera the thumbs up. He added a message: "Really enjoyed the Christmas break but good to get back to Madrid yesterday and step up the recovery". Zidane is hoping that Bale will be fully recovered and available for selection by early April.
