EURO 2016 FINAL
Ronaldo's tears as Portugal suffer Euro 2004 final woe
The Portugal captain is out to avenge that defeat to Greece 12 years ago as the Seleçao take on France for the Euro 2016 title.
Cristiano Ronaldo will lead out Portugal against France on Sunday looking to guide the Seleçao to a first ever major trophy - and banish the demons of 2004.
Appearing in his first European Championship, the then 19-year-old was left inconsolable as the Portuguese suffered heartbreak in the final, losing 1-0 to surprise-package Greece despite playing on home soil.
His tears of despair that night are one of the tournament's abiding images.
