COPA AMÉRICA

Raúl Ruidíaz's hand in Brazil's Copa América exit

The Peru striker, dubbed "the Peruvian Messi," scored the only game of the game to knock Brazil out but it was a blatant, but undetected, handball.

Brazil are out of the Copa América following a 1-0 defeat to Peru, sealing the Canarinha's worst performance at the tournament since 1987.

With only the draw required to qualify for the quarter-finals as winners of Group B, the game was still goalless with 15 minutes to go. But a rare foray into Brazilian territory from Peru ended with Raúl Ruidíaz bundling in Andy Polo's cross from the byline, appearing to use his arm to score.

Ruidíaz wheeled away to celebrate and Uruguayan referee Andres Cunha signalled for the goal.
