Australia booked their place in the next round of qualifying for the 2018 World Cup, after a convincing win over Jordan in Sydney.

It was the end of the line for Harry Redknapp who was drafted in by the Jordanian federation to oversee the final two qualification matches.

Redknapp stated after the defeat that the federation needed to improve in order to achieve future success: "The whole structure, the set-up needs so much work," he said. "We've got no analyst, we don't have anything on the opposition, we don't have sports scientist."
