La industria del videojuego despide a Reggie Fils-Aime
Grandes personalidades del sector y compañías de videojuegos, relacionadas o no con Nintendo, agradecen sus 15 años de trabajo en la compañía de Kioto..
Reggie Fils-Aime anunció este pasado jueves que a partir del próximo 15 de abril deja de ser presidente de Nintendo of America. La noticia, sorprendente e inesperada, deja a Doug Bowser como sucesor en su cargo; una personalidad que también lleva formando parte de la división estadounidense durante muchos años.
15 años representando la marca de Nintendo tanto dentro como fuera acompañados de momentos inolvidables han sido suficientes para que otras compañías y personalidades del sector le hayan dedicado un mensaje de despedida.

El directivo, nacido en 1961, firmó su primer contrato con Nintendo en 2003 como vicepresidente de ventas y marketing tras haber pasado antes por otros medios audiovisuales como MTV. Curiosamente, cuando en 2006 se convirtió en el primer presidente no japonés en liderar una división de Nintendo lo hizo sustituyendo al último presidente general de la gran N, Tatsumi Kimishima, ahora relevado por Shuntaro Furukawa.
El mensaje de Fils-Aime, ahora correspondido por decenas, en realidad miles, de personas de todo el mundo, fue el siguiente: “Nintendo tendrá siempre una parte de mi corazón”, comenzaba diciendo. “Es una porción llena de gratitud por la gente tan talentosa con la que he podido trabajar, por la oportunidad de haber representado una marca tan increíble y, sobre todo, por ser miembro de la comunidad de jugadores más positiva y cercana del mundo”.
