Gareth Bale invites student to take his place in promo clip with Sergio Agüero

Bale surprises young Madrid-born

Ana Rueda, a young, Madrid-born student got the surprise of her life when she received a text message from Gareth Bale, inviting here to take his place in a new Champions League promotional video alongside Manchester City's Sergio Agüero. Ana, who works part-time in a bakery and has played football since she was a young girl is a die-hard Real Madrid fan.

Dream to meet Agüero

As Bale couldn't take part himself because of injury, he contacted Ana. The 24-year-old got to meet Agüero on set then Bale himself, who turned up still on crutches. "It's been a dream, an experience which I'll never forget", said Ana who plays for amatuer side, Macheritas Sports Club, when her studies and shifts at her Mum's bakery allow.

Bale, favourite

Ana, whose admits Bale is her favourite player, spoke about receiving the message from her idol: "I still can't believe it. That all of this happening to me is exhilerating. I've played football in the street with my brothers since I was a little girl and to be chosen to stand in for Bale was incredible. Without any doubt, Gareth is my favourite player", she explained during shooting for the promo for Nissan, one of the main sponsors of the Champions League.

Bale's left foot

Bale said Ana did a great job when he visited her on set: "I think it was a great idea calling Ana. It's great to be able to offer opportunities, new experiences to other people". The Real Madrid forward added that Ana has "very good technique" to which the player replied she'd love to have a left-foot shot like Bale's.
