Los Game Developers Choice Awards, galardones que se entregan anualmente para reconocer los mejores videojuegos del año anterior y que cuentan con los votos de los principales diseñadores de videojuegos del mundo, anuncian sus nominados.

Como era previsible, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt y Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain se colocan como los candidatos a llevarse el premio de Juego del Año. Aquí también destacan Fallout 4, Rocket League y Bloodborne.

Los nominados a mayor innovación son Her Story, Super Mario Maker, Undertale, Splatoon y The Beginner's Guide. En mejor diseño vuelven a aparecer Bloodborne, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain y Fallout 4.
