Rio de Janiero native and AS Brazil correspondent Fernando Kallas shared his thoughts following the airline tragedy this morning in Colombia which saw 76 people lose their lives after a British Aerospace 146 short-haul aircraft plane crashed as it made its way to Colombian city Medellin.
On-board was the Chapecoense football team. The Brazilian Serie A side were travelling to face Colombian outfit Atletico Nacional in the first leg of South America's Copa Sudamericana.
The world of sport is in mourning following the tragedy as words of condolence are being paid by football players and clubs worldwide.
