Paco Alcácer's drawn-out €30 million transfer to Barcelona was confirmed early this afternoon and it turns out that Valencia fans haven't taken too kindly to the news.
Alcacer shirt set on fire
One particular irate fan even went as far as torching his shirt with Alcácer's name on it in anger at the Valencia-born player's decision to leave the club he joined over 10 years ago. Alcácer was made club captain last season during Gary Neville's disastrous spell in charge.
€30 million to sit on the bench?
Alcácer might well have been top dog at Mestalla but he'll have his work cut out to be a success at Barcelona. Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suárez are well-established as Luis Enrique's first-choice front line and it's likely that he'll spend a lot of time watching from the bench.
