Marcos Llorente: "My reference in football is Xabi Alonso"
The Real Madrid midfielder, who has renewed his contract until 2021, said that both he and all of his family have always been lifelong madridistas.
Marcos Llorente completed his contract renewal with Real Madrid this afternoon and after signing the new agreement, the young midfielder attended the media in the press room at the Santiago Bernabéu. Llorente, whose new contract will expire in June 2021, said that he is aware of the demands that are on every player at Real Madrid but insists he will be work hard and be patient until his time comes along.

“At home, when we talk about football, the qualities that are always mentioned are unity and hard work; I think it is very difficult to be here at a club like Real Madrid without sacrifice and hard work. This is the best club in the world and the level demanded here is incredibly high. You have to give everything you have to make the grade here", the player told reporters. "As I have always said, my reference in football is Xabi Alonso. I am really happy to have been given the opportunity to grow at this club and have the chance to win a lot of trophies; I am conscious of how young I am and of how much I still have to learn”.
