Morata close to tears as he bids Real Madrid team mates farewell

Álvaro Morata said his goodbyes to all of his Real Madrid team mates and coaching staff, going up to each one individually to wish them well before he completes his 80 million euro move to Chelsea - to become the most expensive Spanish player in history. Morata tried to keep his emotions in check as he made his way first, to bid farewell to coach Zinedine Zidane at the team's training camp at UCLA, California.

Morata's message to madridistas

After the hugs and well wishes, in which his team mates chanted his name, Morata was asked by Real Madrid Television's cameraman if he had a message for the fans. "Thanks for everything. It was incredible to come back here and win again. I hope Madrid continues to always win – as long as it’s not when they play against me… anyway…", he said before choking up, visibly affected by the emotion of the moment.
