Emergency services were called to Shanghai Shenhua's home ground, the Hongkou Stadium, early on Tuesday after a huge fire broke out.
Local media reported that the fire started at around 8.15 am and was swiftly put out by firefighters. No injuries were reported, according to the Shanghai Daily.
An investigation into the cause of the blaze is ongoing. Shenhua's next home game, against Changchun Yatai, is scheduled for April 16.
