Marcelino says Villarreal relish the chance to play in Anfield

Villarreal manager Marcelino García Toral is adamant that in spite of Anfield's legendary reputation as one of the most atmospheric grounds in world football, his players are not daunted by the task that lays ahead of them on Merseyside on Thursday.

The LaLiga fourth-placed side hold a narrow 1-0 lead from the first leg and will be looking to draw on their excellent defensive record to keep Jürgen Kloop's Liverpool at bay for another 90 minutes to secure a place in the Basel final.

“It’s a real pleasure to play at Anfield; it’s going to be a really nice occasion. We will not be adversely affected by the atmosphere. If anything, it will have a positive effect on us. That atmosphere will galvanise us. It will drive us on to perform better”.
