Benfica moved five points clear atop the Primeira Liga table after a 5-1 thumping of Braga.

Benfica comfortably beat Braga last night in Lisbon to increase their lead at the top of the Portuguese table.

A double from Konstantinos Mitroglou put the Eagles on their way to a straight forward win against the Europa League quarter finalists.

Benfica now go into their crucial Champions League week where they play Bayern Munich with a five point margin over Sporting in second play. Their Lisbon rivals make the short journey to Belem where they face Os Belenenses on Monday.
