MLS reacciona al Juneteenth Day y a The Black Players Coalition
Equipos y futbolistas de la MLS lanzaron sus muestras de apoyo a la reciente creación de la coalición de jugadores afroamericanos, en plena celebración del Juneteenth Day.
La Major League Soccer se ha unido este 19 de junio, para celebrar el Juneteenth Day y tanto equipos como futbolistas han lanzado mensajes de apoyo a la comunidad afroamericana, al tiempo de unirse para festejar la creación de la nueva coalición de jugadores negros en el fútbol estadounidense.
A través de twitter, los equipos de la MLS y algunos otros jugadores se pronunciaron para celebrar uno de los días más importantes para la comunidad afroamericana y continuar con la lucha en contra de la discriminación racial.

On June 19, 1865 orders were read by Union general Gordon Granger that all slaves were proclaimed free. That day has become known as Juneteenth.

El 19 de junio se celebra en 45 entidades de los Estados Unidos, el Juneteenth Day, que conmemora la abolición de la esclavitud y por muchos estadounidenses es considerado como el segundo Día de la Independencia en territorio norteamericano.

Por su parte, este viernes también se dio un anuncio histórico dentro de la Major League Soccer, pues más de 70 futbolistas se unieron para crear The Black Players Coalition, que buscará combatir el racismo dentro del fútbol estadounidense, lucha que ha cobrado cada vez más adeptos, luego del asesinato de George Floyd en Minneapolis.
