REAL MADRID | LUCAS SILVA
Marseille anxious to return Lucas Silva to Madrid immediately
'L'Equipe' report that coach, Míchel and club officials are unhappy with the Brazilian player and are looking to annul the loan deal with Real Madrid which expires on June.
Olympique Marseille are looking to return Brazilian player, Lucas Silva to Real Madrid as soon as possible report L'Equipe. The Ligue 1 club are said to be “extremely disappointed” with the former Cruzeiro midfielder, who they have on a loan deal from the Spanish side through to June 30th.
The coach of the Mediterranean based club, Michel was the first person to openly declare that the Brazilian player had not gelled at the French side. Last Tuesday, the Spanish coach declared, ”I’ve lost my confidence in Lucas, in both his way of playing and in his position: "I hope he can make amends as his problems are not of a physical nature but tactical”. Michel has elected to keep the Brazilian playero n the bench for the past nine games and his last start for Olympique was early November where they lost at home to Cote D’Azur neighbors Nice (0-1).
The main problema facing Marseille is to convince Real Madrid to recuperate the player before the winter transfer window closes on February 1. This is a tall order given that Madrid currently have the likes of Kroos, Modric, Casemiro and Kovacic along with Castilla player, Marcos Llorente to call upon. In fact this overbooking of midfield talent was the factor that saw the Spanish club look to loan out the Brazilian player.
