UD Almería confirmed this morning that Argentinean, Néstor Raúl Gorosito will be the new first team coach and will substitute, Joan Carrillo who was sacked on Monday.
Gorosito has a depth of experience in his native Argentina where he has been coach at River Plate, Lanús, Rosario Central and Argentinos Juniors. His only experience in Spanish football was one season with Xerez in the 2009-10 campaign where he failed in his mission of securing top flight status for the Andalisuan club.
Gorosito is the third coach to oversee the troubled side who sit rock bottom of the second tier of Spanish football and have gone 14 games without securing a win. Dramatic times for the side that just last season dropped from the top flight of the Spanish game.
The Argentine will be accompanied by Sebastián Somoza, Jorge Borrelli and Gustavo Zapata as his backroom staff and is expected at Almeria's training ground on December 28 when the squad return from their brief Christmas break.
The next game for the red and whites is a home tie against fellow strugglers Llagostera and a great opportunity to address the negative dynamic and possible leave the foot of the table with a win against the Catalan side.
