Valencia "visibly better" since the arrival of Neville says Jaume
Valencia’s goalkeeper believes “this team has a lot to give in three competitions and can get back in amongst the Champion's League places”.
A bullish Jaume Domenech promised that “this team will wage war” right to the end of the season in la Liga, the Copa del Rey and the Europa League, bringing joy to the valencianistas based on the improvement in performances of the team since the arrival of Gary Neville on the bench.
“This team is going to bring a lot of joy, the season isn’t even nearly over and the team has the battle in them. Against Getafe the team was visibly better but they scored against us twice with two chances, we drew level and just couldn’t finish it off, but that was how we want to play, that’s the Valencia we want to show the world”, said Jaume on VCF Radio.
Domenech believes that now it’s time to rest and gather strength over the holidays: “It’s time to disconnect, recharge the batteries and come back stronger to join the fight further up the table, I think we can get up there and that starts with beating Villareal”, he set out, Valencia face Villareal in the last la Liga match-up of 2015, Dec 31st at 4pm CET.
“We know we’re playing the final game of the year, but now it’s important that we disconnect a bit, reflect, be with family and rest. I’ll be back in the village relaxing”, he commented on his festive plans.
On a personal level, he’s also keen to get back to top form to stay first-choice no.1: “I’m going to keep working out of my skin on the pitch and try to take every opportunity that comes my way. I wish the fans a very happy Christmas, thanks for all the support you give us and I hope you keep the faith while we keep winning to get up the table”.
