REAL MADRID - LAS PALMAS
James won't play against Las Palmas, Navas also a doubt
Rafa Benítez still unsure about who’ll play in goal as Navas has a mucle strain, Kiko Casilla may step in and Colombian James Rodriguez is out.
Rafa Benítez confirmed in an interview with Radio Nacional that James Rodriguez will not play in their la Liga duel with Las Palmas. The Real Madrid coach also revealed that Keylor Navas is suffering from a strain and Kiko Casilla may play against the Canary Island side.
The Colombian attacker will be missing again this weekend, despite training all week with his teammates. Benítez will not force his highly prized asset back into action for this Liga encounter and declined to indicate whether he’ll be back for the important Champions League game with PSG on November 3.
The biggest doubt for Las Palmas on Saturday in the Bernabéu is in goal after Benítez confirmed that Keylor is a doubt due to a muscle strain. The Costa Rican goalkeeper has played every minute so far this season (9 Liga matches and 3 in the Champions League). By contrast, Kiko Casilla has yet to step onto the pitch this campaign with his new team. Against Las Palmas may be his first opportunity.
