Argentinean midfielder Luis Fariña has joined Rayo Vallecano on loan from Benfica for the 2015-16 season, the Madrid-based side announced on their official website on Thursday.
Fariña, 24, started his professional career at Racing in Argentina, where he played from 2009 until 2013, when he was signed by Benfica. Fariña has yet to make an appearance for The Eagles, from where he was loaned to UAE side Baniyas before spending last season at Deportivo where he started 15 matches, scoring once.
Fariña is Rayo's second loan signing from the Portuguese giants this summer, joining compatriot Bebé at the Vallecas Stadium.
So far this summer, Rayo have added keeper Juan Carlos, defenders Chechu Dorado and Diego Llorente and midfielders Patrick Ebert, Cissé, Zhang Chengdong and Bebé to the squad.
