BARCELONA 3 - JUVENTUS 1
Buffon: "I want to play at this level for another three years"
Juventus keeper has no plans to hang up his gloves and hopes to achieve more "dreams" with the bianconeri.
Gianluigi Buffon was again one of the main players on the pitch in Berlin. The Juve keeper pulled off two fantastic saves to keep his side in the final although as the game wore on the bianconeri were overrun by Barcelona's attacking power. "After the break we believed we could pull off this amazing feat," Buffon told Mediaset. "But we didn't and the best team won. That isn't always the case in football but on this occasion it was. However, the most important thing was that we showed we are capable of competing against such a strong team."
On Juve's curse in European finals, the captain said: "In finals if you are the stronger team you have more chance of winning; today we were not the favourites and it ended as it had to. Barcelona deserved to win."
Despite being 37 years old, Buffon still has no plans to hang up his gloves: "I want to play at this level for another three years and then I'll close my shop. Hopefully I'll be able to realize another dream before I do."
