David Fernández scored the crucial winner after 52 minutes to give the Asturians a 2-1 aggregate victory.
Real Oviedo won 1-0 in Cádiz on Sunday at the Ramón de Carranza stadium to secure promotion to the Segunda Division after a 12-year absence. Oviedo came out 2-1 winners over two legs in one of the qualifying play-off matches from the champions in the four groups of Segunda B.
The Asturian club hit back from the advantage Cádiz secured from the first leg, played a week ago and which ended in a 1-1 tie with a crucial away goal. Cádiz could not take advantage of that crucial strike back on home soil.
Oviedo will return to the second tier of Spanish football after a 12-year absence. The last time they graced the division was in the 2002-13 campaign.

In the first half the best chance fell to Cádiz but Márquez hit the crossbar six minutes before half-time.
After the break, and after the visitors went 1-0 up, Oviedo had a chance to seal their victory but Valle hit the woodwork.
The Ramón de Carranza stadium was packed full of 25,000 fans including around 3,000 from Oviedo.
Oviedo will join Gimnástic de Tarragona in promotion to the Segunda after they beat Huesca 3-1.
