EIBAR - CÓRDOBA
Eibar look to turn Ipurua into a cauldron for Córdoba’s visit
The ground sold out the same day the tickets went on sale for crunch relegation match; the club want to ensure no seat is unfilled.
On Monday, Eibar put the tickets on sale for Saturday’s match against Córdoba and later that day the “Sold Out” signs went up for the game coach Garitano’s men have to win to have a chance of playing top flight football for a second season.
But the club is determined to have the stadium filled to maximum capacity and so, having sold the public tickets, it has reached out to season ticket holders to ask them to ensure they attend, or if they can’t to give their ticket for the match to someone else. “Filling Ipurua and giving our players the biggest support possible, will be the first goal Eibar score in the game next Saturday against Córdoba”.
What’s clear is whether absolutely every one of the 6,267 seats is filled or not, there will be a huge party at Eibar’s ground on Saturday, at least until and if the results go against the Basque side. Eibar need to win and hope other results go their way to ensure safety.
Before the game the club has organised all types of events, from bouncy castles to Basque sausage sizzles, in the streets outside the ground to get the fans in the mood to support their team to the maximum.
