JUVENTUS 2-1 REAL MADRID
Real Madrid need a comeback after Juve win in Turin
Goals from Morata and Tevez gave Juventus the win. Ronaldo scored his 76th Champions League goal.
Juventus won a highly entertaining Champions League semi-final first leg, beating Madrid 2-1. Morata opened the scoring after 8 minutes, pouncing at the back post after Casillas could only block a Tevez shot. Real Madrid struggled in the opening 20 minutes, but began to take control of the game, leading to Cristiano’s goal in the 27th minute. James chipped a ball across the face of the goal from inside the box, and found Ronaldo who just had to nod home for his 76th Champions League goal.
In the second half Juventus again started more brightly, but their second came from a stroke of luck. Marcelo blasted a shot that came flying back off Kroos and gave Juve the chance of a counter attack that they didn’t waste. Tevez strode into the Madrid box where he was brought down by Carvajal and the Argentinean converted the penalty.
Juve had several chances near the end to increase their lead, including a Llorente header at the back post that he hit straight into the ground and which Iker grabbed gratefully.
The second leg, which Real have to win if they want to go through, is next Wednesday night.
